2026 Holy Week Schedule of Services
As we approach the saving and solemn days of Holy Week, I extend to you a heartfelt invitation to come and pray. These are the holiest days of the year, the days in which we walk with our Lord Jesus Christ from His entrance into Jerusalem, to His Mystical Supper, His saving Passion, His life-giving Cross, His burial, and finally to the radiant joy of His Resurrection.
I warmly encourage every parishioner, every family, every young person, and every soul who has been away for some time, to make every effort to attend as many of these services as possible. Even if you cannot be present for everything, come for something. Come and pray. Come and light a candle. Come and stand before Christ with humility, gratitude, repentance, and hope
These services are not only for the deeply religious or for those who feel spiritually strong. They are for all of us. They are for the tired, the burdened, the grieving, the struggling, the hopeful, the faithful, and the searching. The Lord receives every honest step taken toward Him.
Bring your children. Bring your family members. Invite a friend. Return to the Church if you have been away. Let us not stand far off during these holy days. Let us draw near to Christ, who first drew near to us and gave Himself for the life of the world.
I pray that this Holy Week will be for each of us a time of repentance, healing, renewal, and grace, and that we may together behold and rejoice in the holy and life-giving Resurrection of our Lord.
With paternal love in Christ,
Fr. Ioannikios
